We’re temporarily closed for refurbishment!

Firstly, thank you one and all, to our regulars right the way through to those of you who have just popped in for a drink over the course over the past year and throughout Christmas! We’ve had an amazing time welcoming you all and it’s been our pleasure to show you the best that the Miller Arms has to offer.

Now the bad news, we’re looking to carry on making some more major structural changes and additional refurbishment work to key parts of the pub over the next three weeks so we can make it even better. Sadly though to do this we have to close our doors for three weeks.

We know, we miss you too but it’ll fly by and we’ll be re-opening on the 1st February 2024. Trust us you’re not going to want to miss it. We can’t wait to see you there and we’re looking forwards to welcoming you all back in person soon.

All our love,

“We went for our wedding anniversary. Couldn’t fault the place, nor the service, and certainly not the quality of the food! We splashed out on the “Surf n Turf Greedy Platter” which was absolutely superb. Rump steak, half rack of the most beautiful tender ribs, salmon fillet, half a dozen huge king prawns, calamari rings, chips, ciabatta and some amazingly tasty sauces and a large dollop of purple coleslaw. Wow! We are not lightweights, and we struggled to finish it all! And the wines we chose were the perfect match, her indoors had a rosé wine, I had Malbec which was smooth, fruity and full bodied. Our meal was early evening on a Sunday, and there were not a lot there, although it had obviously been busy earlier, but had a nice chat with the landlord and landlady and another four diners. We will certainly be back!”

“Well talk about a hidden gem. I last visited the Millers arms as it was a few years back with a friend who was taking me to look for my first car. When I say a few I actually mean around 1987 really it just seems like a few years. Anyway 11 of us visited tonight 9th August 23 on what turned out to be a very delightful chatty evening with some of the best and largest portions of food we have had in a while. The staff were superb and could not do enough for you the food was amazing and if what we had was anything to go by I would recommend any thing on the menu. The pork belly starter was a total revelation never seen such an amazing portion and the quality well mmm. Ribs, they are superb and what a portion, as for the mixed grill, best I have had in a very long time almost talked myself into a lamb burger but as others ordered the mixed grill had to change mine out to avoid food envy… Thanks for a great evening Miller Arms.”

Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5

“Celebrated my birthday at the Greedy Badger and I was delighted with the service and food. I chose the Beef and Marrow pie and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my party commented how wonderful the food was and also how it was piping hot too. I had a fantastic birthday and would highly recommend the Greedy Badger.”

A cosy and welcoming pub,
the way it should be

The Miller Arms is one of the oldest building in the village of Singleton. It was originally called the Hornby Arms and dates back to the 1700s. It was renamed when Thomas Miller bought the Singleton Estate and built much of the village that we know you’ll love just as much as we do.

The Miller Arms retains many of its original features and we’re proud to still be the heart of a thriving warm and friendly community. Believe it or not we’ve even got a wishing well (that’s why we have the Two Pence pieces from the 1700’s in our logo).

We’ve worked hard though to blend history with our passion for high quality food and drink. When we opened the doors again we wanted it to be exactly the kind of place where we would like to enjoy our days off, our days out or just popping in for a quick pint after work. What we’ve built is a proper pub, with proper food (with the reviews to prove it and not just a handwritten board outside) and a team of people who have created a friendly, comfortable atmosphere, where everybody’s welcome.

OUR PREMIUM DINING EXPERIENCE

Based within the Miller Arms, the Greedy Badger is our our dedicated gastro offering centred on taking the best possible produce and creating superb dishes.

Renowned for our outstanding food

We let our ingredients be true to themselves. We don’t over complicate but what we excel at is driving flavour and textures. We then bring it all together to create meals you’ll fondly remember and tell your family and friends about.

We focus on unpretentious cooking combined with the best seasonal ingredients that our brilliant local supply partners produce. Then we bring it all together with approachable and professional service from people who love to eat out as much as we do. Trust us, their knowledge about our food and love for what we do will be a massive help when you can’t decide what to pick off the menu.

The best the Fylde
has to offer

The food at the Miller Arms is a true team effort and is based around the exceptional working relationships we have with a range of independent and specialist suppliers across the Fylde. From our butchers, fishmongers and veg men, they work closely with us to showcase the exceptional produce on our doorstep. Our Head Chef Matt allows the ingredients to be true to themselves with a focus on flavour and the elements of our meals working together. This honest approach to the food means we offer something truly unique in the region we’re proud of.

Coming to eat with us?

We offer a casual ‘walk in and dine’ service during the hours of 12pm until 8pm every day that we’re open, where we’ll be happy to serve you anything from our Summer Menu. We’re more than happy for you to call ahead of time and see what our availability is like in the pub on…

A well managed cellar so we do proper pints

A great pub should feel as warm and inviting as your front room at home so besides doing food well we also know how to run an exceptional cellar which means we do a cracking pint. Real ale is a great British drink that belongs in every pub – we are proud to keep and serve it in its best possible condition. We have a range of lagers and wines, from recognised brands through to local producers and microbreweries you might not have tried before.

Running a great pub is a way of life for us so we’re more than happy to help you decide if you don’t know where to start.

…and an actual warm welcome

Once you visit you’ll realise that the Miller Arms is focussed on creating a comfortable, relaxed and friendly atmosphere where we can welcome everyone to pop in for that afternoon or evening drink or to dine with us. We love what we do and it’s a way of life for us. That’s why we go to every effort with each guest because we appreciate them coming to spend time with us regardless if it’s a quick half or a full afternoon with the family.

Great British pubs are built around great welcomes and service. We always have and will stand by that.

What are you up to this Sunday?

Who doesn’t love a good Sunday roast? It’s a British institution that we take seriously and we’re proud that so many people come to relax on a Sunday with us rather than slave away at home. However, due to the reputation we’ve gained for out top class lunches we strongly recommend arriving early because once the last slice is calved, served with that last crisp Yorkshire, we’re done for the day.

However, we still offer our Summer Menu throughout the day.
